Our guest speaker, Dr Dean Allen, will be sharing “Exiles in Paradise” – After a sold -out successful talk about Matjiesfontein, master storyteller is back following a successful expedition on Saint Helena Island, one of the most notorious yet remote islands on the globe. A history that includes the exile of Napoleon after his capture at Waterloo, a refugee camp for 6000 Boer soldiers captured during the Anglo Boer War, as well as many more historical facts and natural wonders. Join us in conversation about a remarkable piece of geographical significance.
Expect an evening of thoughtful conversation, insight, and inspiration beside the warmth of our winter fires.
The talk will be followed by a 3-course dinner in the La Cotte Restaurant, thoughtfully curated to complement the mood of the evening and the season.
