OUR FARM RESTAURANT
La Cotte Farm Restaurant is set in the original manor house at the heart of La Cotte Farm, with high ceilings, bold colours and coral accents against classic whitewashed walls. The menu focuses on farm-to-table cuisine made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, from heritage dishes like Franschhoek salmon trout to signature garden salads picked daily. Breakfast and lunch are served on the deep veranda overlooking the valley and village, offering a relaxed, authentic Winelands dining experience.
Chef Neethling du Toit creates refined farm-style dishes using homegrown produce and sustainably sourced local ingredients. The seasonal menu moves from crisp garden salads and small plates like bobotie bitterballen and springbok carpaccio to flavourful mains such as Franschhoek trout, pressed lamb rib, fillet of beef and roasted aubergine. Lighter options, generous salads and elegant desserts – including rosewater panna cotta and almond & orange cake – are all thoughtfully paired with our carefully curated Franschhoek wine selection. Enjoy breakfast or a relaxed summer lunch on the wide veranda, with uninterrupted views over the valley.

MILL HOUSE PATISERIE
La Cotte Mill House Patisserie is set in Africa’s oldest water mill, a beautifully restored 1731 landmark on the hill at La Cotte Farm. This charming bakery and coffee spot combines historic stone walls, wooden beams and views of the original water wheel with the comforting aroma of freshly baked treats. Guests can enjoy warm sourdough loaves, buttery croissants, delicate pastries and cakes, all made on-site and served alongside expertly crafted coffee and light bites. Whether you choose a cosy corner inside or a table outside overlooking the farm and mountains, the Mill House Patisserie is the perfect stop for breakfast, a mid-morning treat or a relaxed afternoon pick‑me‑up.

CHAMPERS BAR
Champers Bar is a playful, character-filled Champagne bar at La Cotte, where the heritage of British rowing meets the sparkle of fine bubbles. Vintage regatta photographs, hanging oars and vibrant pink and red accents create a whimsical yet luxurious atmosphere. Guests can explore a curated selection of Cap Classique and Champagne by the glass, enjoy Champagne-inspired cocktails, and savour carefully paired canapés designed to complement each sip. Whether you join us for a quick toast or a long, lazy evening on the veranda, Champers Bar offers a stylish, bubbly escape in the heart of Franschhoek.
The Champers Bar food menu is all about relaxed, shareable small plates designed to enjoy with a glass of bubbles. Choose from a selection of artisanal flatbreads with toppings such as cream cheese and bacon, garlic, anchovy and olives, exotic tomatoes with rocket pesto and mozzarella, or smoked trout with crème fraîche and capers.
